Surf2Sip is an innovative technology that uses wave energy to produce clean drinking water.
We strive to be on the cutting edge of solutions that work with the environment for safer and healthier communities. Currently, we are working on devices to produce clean drinking water from two abundant sources -- waves and saltwater.
Our vibrant team met across a variety of classes and interactions, and eventually grew to become the animated group we are today. Each person in particular provided enriching, essential tools to our unique team that propelled us towards success. Maili and Anna’s extensive knowledge about renewable energy and field work in environmental science motivated our team to find plausible, modern innovations with inspiring, real world applications. Charlotte, Ben, and Hanna’s ubiquitous abilities to design, CAD, engineer, and market provided essential physical portions of our project that turned it from an active inspiration into a lively reality. Our team was motivated by the idea of the humanitarian reach and tangible applications of being able to help people in our communities, having lived in a coastal state. Overall, our team is dynamic, motivated, and ambitious, as we find purpose in taking a personalized idea, and turning it into an actualized cause.
Our innovative product is one of the first in its field. It uses kinetic energy from waves to pump water through a powerful reverse osmosis device. This device will use sustainable methods to produce clean drinking water for areas in need.
Our commitment is to clean and sustainable disaster relief and water production.
